He's hitting at .230 ..... and a lot of his power was at the beginning of the season.

If he's one of the best then that shows how sad the state of offensive catchers in baseball is

Chirinos can't hit, Yordan can't hit, putting them back to back leads to situations like this. Boone isn't going to be as quick to go to the bullpen with a lead. He'll wait a lot longer before pulling Paxton than he did last game.

So much for pitch count.

We have them all the momentum and then retreated into our HR or bust swings.

Bregman and Correa have looked great, but everyone between them and after them is completely lost at the plate.

It's gonna have to be the top of the order to get us back in it. And it's gonna have to be a homer after some bloop singles or walks. We just don't have the approach to stretch an inning with sound at bats throughout the whole lineup.

Basically we're giving them a free inning with the 7 to 9 spot.

Not that we have a lot of options, but still need to come up with something to try and break up the suck.
