And in the playoffs a 2 run lead feels way different than a 1 run lead to a pitcher. Cole could be a little extra aggressive knowing a solo shot wouldn't tie it. Also his homer was technically the winning run...but yeah, abysmal. Might need to exercise the ignore button.

Wildly known

Also doesn't impact his pitching any more than an aLCS game would impact someone else

He just doesn't want to be in a huge media market like New York with constant interviews and paparazzi

They know everything about everyone they sign.

But yes they did. It's been widely known for awhile and he's spoken publicly about it.

Just remember, if we didn't acquire Grienke Wade Miley would likely be pitching tonight...or more likely Jose as Wade would still likely have the same issues. Having a player of his caliber to pitch tonight is a luxury few teams possess.

Could he get lit up...sure, especially with the wind howling out to right but he's a playoff proven future HOF pitcher and I hope he can keep his change-up and pretty much all of his pitches down tonight.

With this wind, I think Yordan could bunt one over the wall. He could hit a check swing bomb that makes Frazier's cheap swing look like he he was swinging out of his shoes.

Yordan might just scare a ball over the wall without even taking his bat off his shoulder.

Yordan is jumping on a splitter tonight in a manner that makes Yankee fans go silent for the remainder of their short postseason lives.

SABR actually says to hit your best hitter 2nd. Over the course of the year they end up with a good bit more ab's

Tanaka looked pretty hittable in game 1 imo.
