I"d pay a lot of money to have a camera following Bryce Harper around recording as the Nats come from down 3-1 to win Game 5 of the NLDS on the road, then almost no-hit the Cards to win Game 1 of the NLCS.

Yep, I think of A-Rod, Pujols, and Harper. Harper is clearly just 1 year in, so that's a pretty unwritten book.

ARod left a Mariners team that lost the ALCS in 2000 in 6 games to sign with the Rangers who averaged 72 wins a year in his 3 years there. Then he forced the trade to NYY and it still took him 9 more years to win a title, and when they did it was in a year he missed 40 games. What could the Mariners have done with him in 2001 when they won 116 without him?

Pujols left St Louis for Anaheim after winning the 2011 WS and has played in exactly 3 playoff games in the last eight seasons after playing in SEVENTY-FOUR playoff games from 2001-2011. Pujols never hit below .300 with the Cards, he's never hit above .299 with the Angels, and the only category he's led the league in in the AL has been double plays grounded into. Meanwhile the Cards have played in the NLCS 4 more times since (including this year).

I know we give Correa a lot of crap, and for good reason, but he made some fantastic plays in the field last series, and especially in game 5. It not only kept traffic off the basepaths but allowed Cole to continue pitching from the stretch and get in a great groove.

Here's to Carlos continuing his great D and hopefully adding some pop with his bat.
