That didn't happen until the playoffs.

Right or wrong, had we not won in 2017, I'd say do whatever it takes. But we did win in 2017 and have the infrastructure for long term success. I don't want to go "all in" because I don't think it's necessary, especially for rentals. We all saw how hard it was to win a WS. This team as is could sweep their way through the playoffs and I wouldn't be shocked.

In my head this is like a PS4 MLB game where you go to the trade room and throw in deals until you get the trade success percentage above 70% and it turns green.

There's no doubt I'd be dealing tucker, Whitley, Reddick and Martin for Mike Trout or Christian Yelich

They may already know they won't be able to afford Cole this is an option where they can secure Bum for 3-4 years at a cheaper rate than Cole. I mean do we think Cole gets what 6-7 years at 28-35 mil per? Bum may be worried about the FA market after the Keuchel debacle and that's why he was wanting an extension from whoever traded for him?

Not excited about Maldonado. I don't think he does anything that Stassi doesn't. And yes, I base that off his playoff performance last year. When it mattered most, he was trash.

But he's right

Look at what all our young pitchers have done.

Plus you can't include Yordan as the farm

The cupboard is not bare but it's not as full as we thought just a year ago
