Definitely, but also a huge difference between the Yankees budget & ours... and in both cases the value of the deal will be determined by championships.

My main point is that you don't get or keep MVPs without long contracts and a lot of money spent and even if the deals end up being a little cringe-worthy on the back end, that's part of the cost of going for it.

It will be determined by the production of those players toward championships, if they don't play 160 games but they show up in the postseason no one is going to be scrutinizing games played.

Unless you are a Rangers fan and you think that's how Odor is going to make the Hall of Fame.

Maybe, he didn't go till the 5th. That was a crappy draft year for us as well. But at the same time, if there was the thought that he would be in the majors this soon, where would you put him? He would be riding a bench and that would be a disservice to him as well. Seems like a no win.

Question - Any thoughts on playing your father's former team? (the one you grew up rooting for)

Answer - (my interpretation) I want to win these 3 games against them for my team.... even if I grew up rooting for them.
