I've been saying for a while that Alvarez has the build and body type of a true slugger and he's still getting bigger at only 21. He can easily will balls out of the park.

I think his adaptation to the bigs will be just fine and fill in our DH role nicely. I wish he was able to play 1B though, not sure why he's not really slated for that role based on comments from JLH.

I have been super impressed with Chirinos athleticism & defense. Why has he never played a full season? Has he had trouble staying healthy? He seems like he would have been a perennial All-Star based on what he has shown here.

As much as I have been loving Brantley, Diaz and even Miley. Cheerios is our best off season addition IMO

Overall A+++ for Luhnow this off-season. It seemed really quite, but very effective pieces added
