probably so, but I got ridiculed by all the keyboard Brent Stroms on here last year for saying he had great stuff.McGibblets said:mAgnoliAg said:

Worst pitcher ever to throw multiple no hitters
if he threw 2 or 3 in a row, might get his ERA below 4n_touch said:
So your saying McHugh just needs to throw a no hitter?

Do we think there is a chance Fiers will wear an Astros hat when he goes in to the HOF?

How many guys have thrown more than two, other than Ryan and Koufax?
I know Don Wilson came really close. Preston Gomez pulled him for a pinch hitter in the bottom of the 8th inning in the Astrodome in which he had a no-hitter going, which would have been his third. A fan jumped out of the stands and tried to strangle Gomez for it. Anyone else remember that?
No, but I'm not 824 years old...heh.
I think Bob Feller threw 3, but I'm not 100% sure without looking.
Several all-time great pitchers never threw a no-no (Steve Carlton, Greg Maddux, Roger Clemens), and lots of mediocre at best pitchers have thrown at least one. Will sound like I'm throwing shade, but Mike Fiers may now be the least-accomplished pitcher to throw two...it's a heck of an accomplishment, though.
Cy Young, Bob Feller, and a dude named Larry Corcoran who played in the 1800's have 3.Safe at Home said:

Mr.'s Bob Forsch, Kent Mercker, Mark Buehrle and Homer Bailey are all holding on line 1 for you sir. They would like a moment of your time.Quote:

That's pretty funny, but in all seriousness if he throws another one, some part of of his uni might very well be on display in the HOF one day.WES2006AG said:

I know I should have not spoken his name and Maddux' in the same sentence, but the only comparison I made was that they both lack velocity on their fastball.PSully97 said:
IIRC what got you clowned was the Greg Maddux comparison. Fiers does have a sick curve.
Agreed. I think our first major roster move of the season is coming. James heads to Round Rock, McHugh goes to the bullpen and Brady Rodgers gets called up to start on Sunday.Gap said:
McHugh's last 4 starts
Astros: 0-4
McHugh: 0-3, 18 IP, 24 ER, 12.00 ERA
I don't think we see McHugh start as scheduled Sunday against the Rangers. Those numbers are gross for a MLB starter. And beyond that the bullpen is racking up a lot of innings in his starts.

So at the game tonight and went and asked a ticket rep WTF the Torchy Patio tickets aren't ever available this season.
Apparently now they are group tickets for groups of 60+
