So our Rookie slugger who is only an outfielder (even though he is built like a first baseman, on a team that needs a first baseman, for an organization that is weakest at first base) isn't playing in Coors field because the outfield is too big.

My first game here. Obviously not unexpected, but it is amazing how the ball carries here. Springers double looked effortless.

I'm okay if the don't play him there this year to focus on his batting. He is only 21, he can be taught to play 1st base almost assuredly. But long term that's his position.

And Shaw is a great example of why no pitcher should ever choose to play in COL.
He was pretty damn good in CLE with ERAs in the 2-3 range until he went to COL and the ERA shot up to 5+.
