I could see bullpen arms, but I don't see us dealing the type of prospects to get a high end starter unless we have some serious injuries.

We have JV & Cole. Then if one of Peacock, McHugh, or Miley or one of the prospects (Whitley, JB, Martin) hit then at best we're looking to upgrade at #4 for the postseason. Seems unlikely.

Agreed, but it might depend on the context. What if the Indians shop Kluber at the deadline? On the books in '20 at $18 mil, roughly (I think). That would sure negate any sting of Cole heading west. Sure, it depends on what the Indians would want, but I can see a scenario where we extend the window through next year.

I just moved to the Boston area and am actually really bummed not knowing I can head to MMP for a game. It's getting real now that the season is beginning and I feel so far away.

Will for sure be at Fenway for the May 17th Series. I guess that's a perk.

It's not the same, but atleast you're around a famous ballpark with some passionate fans!

I was able to experience an Astros game at Fenway back in 2014 when we were still struggling. Sat down in the 2nd or 3rd inning to be greeted with a Jose Altuve grand slam. Was awesome to experience Fenway and see the stadium, but, being 6'4 I did not fit in the seats there. Hopefully you're a little more comfortable than I was.

Yes, I've been told by the locals that it's not the most comfortable park.

Our offense tends to disappear in Tropicana, so we'll definitely need our pitchers to be on point. In our last 20 games there, dating back to 2014 and including the Texas series in 2017, we averaged 2.3 runs per game, including scoring a total of seven runs in the four-game set last year. It's like MMP East for our offense.

It came directly from Jameson who texted my buddy. Said he thinks the Astros are trying to trade for me. They went to highschool together.

He said he is getting word through his agent, who is with Hendricks. Apparently last year he thought he was getting traded to the Yankees and it didn't happen. Again, this could all be smoke, but just what is being conveyed to me.

That would be a very expensive trade.

He fits the bill for the type of guy. Top 75 percentile for his curve spin. Top 67 for fastball spin. Doesn't look like he utilizes the top of the strike zone much. Has opportunity to throw his sinker, slider, & curve (higher value pitches) more and fewer 4 seamers.

Agree. I think this would indicate that Cole is all but gone, but we are ready to push our chips in for the next 2-4 years by unloading some top shelf prospects, including Tucker. Still don't see us touching Whitley.

I still don't think this happens, but interesting to discuss.
