Doesn't make a lick of sense to go after Encarnancion when they could have just signed Cruz to a 1 year 15M deal...they are very similar players.
EE is going to require trading prospects and paying him 20M and a 5M opt out the following year...
I'd still go after EE at this point since he's the next best thing after Cruz, but it boggles the mind why they passed on him.
