Saying he's not making the team isn't calling him a bust.
True.

He's not making the opening day roster because of our OF depth chart, options situation and in the MLB rules encouraging the club to keep him down a little longer.

I am glad people have stopped calling him Ted & I think the hype is a little much vs the reality of what he is, but don't forget he just turned 22 a couple of months ago. Springer at that same age was 300ish minor league games away from making his mlb debut @ 24.

Sign keuchel. 2 years. Option for 3 and lots of incentives. He needs to get over it. Boras needs to admit he goofed (that's the hard part) and lunhow should pay him as a solid #2 even though he's going to be a #3 here.

Has Keuchel officially passed on our offer? I know I saw a link to barstool sports earlier in the thread that he may have, but I've not seen that corroborated anywhere else.

So basically overpay him? At this point in time he will be no one's #2 or he would have already been signed for that kind of money. If he is going to be #3 then pay him as so.
