They hit George and Bregman last night and kept coming up and in on Correa nearly hitting him tonight. So CFM, threw behind Mazara. Stared him down the whole time after. Then struck him out on the next 3 pitches. It was such a bigger ***** slap than actually hitting him.
Hate to be that guy, but Correa was hit in the waist tonight. Actually nailed his belt, so I'm sure he hardly felt it lol

They plunked Altuve last series, so they've gotten the big three now. Last series, we also hit Chirinos three times, so maybe he's holding a grudge and calling for it.
That's right. Weirdly, it wasn't showing in the stats on the MLB At Bat app, so I thought I had imagined that they had hit him.
I just checked and was surprised to see how far ahead of other teams the Astros are in runs differential at +86. The Red Sox are a distant second at +65. But the Astros are only 4-11 in close games, i.e. those decided by two runs or less. That has to start evening out.Quote:

Not surprised we chose to plunk Chirinos out of all their guys. Our players seem to really dislike him and Chirinos is always talking to our hitters during their ABs and tapping the dirt behind the plate.iBrad said:

We were at the game last night and while we couldn't really see how good his stuff was we did see Ranger after Ranger after Ranger strike out and it was awesome. Crowd was into and roaring after every K.
Good time watching CFM dominate those guys. Oh yeah...Odor is really bad at the plate. He has to be one of the easiest outs in MLB.

Not typically a jersey guy, but pulled the trigger on this one a couple weeks ago. Got it just in time for yesterday's game.
Not a jersey guy either, but wondering if it's acceptable for a grown man to wear a baseball jersey? Wondering what the consensus is here. Seems like it's more acceptable than wearing other jerseys?

Think grown men wearing jerseys is a lot more acceptable than grown men being overly concerned with what other dudes are wearing.

I like Andrus. He always seems to have fun playing. If he were in the Astros roster, I have a feeling he would fit in well with Carlos and Altuve.

Haha yeah this and a Bagwell one I got when I was a kid are the only ones I have. Told myself it was still acceptable since I stuck to my rule of only wearing jerseys of guys older than me.
Baseball jerseys are awesome. I personally don't like ones with a player name or number on them, but to each their own.

Even if it doesn't, the numbers indicate that the team is a lot better than they look, which means we can stu feel pretty good about them going into a playoff series.

And I meant to say 2016 Rangers. They were 13 games better than their Pythagorean record. You'd be hard pressed to find a team in baseball history with that number.
It all worked out though. The decline had already begun that year but they still went out and traded away pieces at the deadline (even though most of those pieces look like garbage)
