Ya....if they significantly play Odor over Profar, I'm officially done with this management team.
Need to root for Profar to keep outplaying odor so they can't pull a fast one.
I think they'd love nothing more than to put odor in everyday and make Profar ride the pine, but they don't want to look stupid and suffer the fan backlash by doing so.
Why would you root for one player to outplay another player on the team you root for? Especially when one has a contract that can significantly handicap the team if he doesn't perform. Best case scenario for the team is for both Odor and Profar to play great, trade Elvis and Beltre at the deadline, then plug in Pro at SS and IKF at 3B.
Nobody seems to agree with me, but from what I've seen the last 2 years, Odor is not going to get fixed at the major league level. He needs to go down to triple A and work on many aspects of his game.
Whatever happened to this **** stick?
That post of his was from 6/18/18.
Odor happened to him.
Odor: .270, 12 HRs, .349 OBP, .461 SLG, .810 OPS, 9 SB <- Season (80 GP)
Altuve: .329, 9 HRs, .392 OBP, .464 SLG, .857 OPS, 14 SB <- Season (104 GP)
Odor: .305, 11 HRs, .389 OBP, .537 SLG, .926 OPS <- Last 56 GP since returning from DL with Hammy (May 25)
Correa: .268, 13 HRs, .352 OBP, .480 SLG, .832 OPS, 2 SB <- Season (73 GP) <- Isn't he touted by Astros fans as a "once-in-a-generation player"
