I'd saw Will Clark would be a good choice.

Even though I despise what he did to the Astros...

I won't say his is the best or anything, but I really enjoy watching Mike Trout's swing. Looks identical every time.

Although I wasn't a big fan (I'm a Will Clark guy), Palmeiro had a smooth swing, juiced as it was

Will Clark was my first choice as well.

pretty much has to be a left-handed hitter

His swing was delightfully violent, yet smooth at the same time.

Palmeiro is the guy who comes immediately to mind. Will Clark felt like a step down when he got to Texas after watching Raffy for a few years.

Of course it could've just been how silly Will Clark's high water pants always looked.

Whats crazy is that those guys were teammates at MSU.

Haha yep! I said it mostly in jest, but I loved watching him swing the bat. Looked like he swung it twice as hard as everyone else. Evan Gattis is similar in his ferocity.

I always like the simplicity of Jim Edmonds.

Griffey is the first to come to mind.

The violence if Sheffields was always fun.

My vote probably goes to Bonds or Papi. Their stroke was fairly similar.

Griffey Jr.

In my book, part of a sweet swing starts with the stance and how the swing begins. Will Clark's closed stance was sort of awkward. Griffey just looked fluid and smooth from the time he stepped into the box.

My outside the box answer is Adam LaRoche. He wasn't a great MLB player by any stretch, but I always thought he had a sweet looking swing.

I liked the guy that played Shoeless Joe in Eight Men Out.

Great swing.

Coog, don't you know that baseball began in 1990? Ted Williams for sure. You really need a category for front foot hitters, which were far more prevalent in older times. Frank Thomas had a beautiful swing as a front footed righty. Dimaggio as well.

Those older guys like Williams weren't really Charlie Lau or Walt Hriniak disciples. In fact, Williams actually had an uppercut. The difference I notice is that the older players seemed to drag the back foot more to achieve weight transfer. I found weight transfer to be the most difficult part of hitting; there should probably be more diversity in how it is taught...and it's tough to argue against the beauty of Aaron, Musial, and DiMaggio (picking righties deliberately to deflate the myth of the LH swing a bit ).
