Big picture: year over year his walks are up, strikeouts are down, home runs are up, ERA and FIP are up. And y'all are on the hook for most of a salary no one else wanted to pick up.
By year over year you mean he's not replicating his 2nd place Cy Young finish from last year. Big deal.

His K/9 % is 3rd highest of his career.

But keep trying. Eventually, you'll stumble onto something.
And his HR/9 and HR/FB are the highest of his career, xFIP and BB/9 are highest in a decade
And we have a real pitching coach in Brent Strom. Most of our pitchers have shown some form of improvement due to Strom unlike your Astros castoff Doug Brocail.

His HR/FB is 14th in the league, better than any starting qualified Rangerette. Same with xFIP. He just set the bar so high and struggled early, he may not meet his lofty lofty standards of his prime.

But is this really all you got? Nitpicking this obvious excellent move by the best team in the AL. I guess that is as good as it gets when your double digits back and no one cares about your team.

I did enjoy that. I also enjoyed taking game 1 of the DH. Win # 81. Arlington is on pace for 81.

How does that make yall Arlingtonites feel?

Did we play yall recently? The opponents all kind of blend together. When you win at over a 60% clip, it doesn't matter who you play. However, I try to pay attention for teams that matter for the postseason like Boston & Cleveland.

Speaking of winning at over a 60% clip.

I don't know or care what that number is. All I know is 81-53 >>> 67-67.

Ah yes, bringing up what I can only assume is the head to head history. Not sure how that will help the rangers make the playoffs.

Super obsessed with a whopping 60 tweets over two years versus 800+ from the RangersLose account. Totally the same thing.

You might want to click on that link. That's an Astros fan page and Rangers fans have nothing to do with it.

Meanwhile the Did the rangers lose page has the following hashtags; Anybody but Dallas 2017, Never DFW, Friends don't let friends compliment Dallas, Fort Worthless, arLOLington, and Church of the Freeze.

Pathetic obsession confirmed.

Daddy back up to a 15 game lead. After all that "collapse" Arlington can't even pick up a game.

Don't look now, but Oakland no longer has a chance to win the AL West division.

Magic number of 10, 11, and 12 for the Mariners, Rangers, and Angels.

It is going to feel great on Sept 14th when we lock up the division with 3 weeks of the season left.

It's pretty late in the season from a comfort standpoint, but boy it's be awesome to clinch the division in Arlington during that last series in late Sept.

How poetic would that be to do it there during the series that they didn't want to play here?
Farmer1906

We will have already clinched the division by then. However, we may be able to mathematically eliminate Arlington from the 2nd wild card then.

I didn't know it was possible to be more Chris Carter-ish than Chris Carter. That's impressive.

I couldn't stand Chris Carter, but he was actually good at drawing walks. Odor is basically good at nothing. And locked into a $50 mil contract...
And yet he's OPS'd .888 against the Astros for his career. He's basically good at beating yalls ass.

He really tries his best to impress Daddy in yalls World Series.

We're too busy having the best record in the league, adding an ace for a run at the actual World Series.

*adding an overpaid, past his prime middle of the staff guy to a totally busted rotation in a last ditch effort to make it out of the ALDS.

More importantly though, I think we can all rejoice in texas getting ****housed at home by a bad B1G team today.
Past his prime went 6 IP, gave up one run, and picked up win #11.
