Still waiting for the math on how the location of 3 professional baseball games to be played in late September helps or hurts a flood victim.
Lemme clear it up for your thoughtless morons...
The Astros players and staff are Houstonians. Their families, homes, and belongings are all in Houston. Them and their families are all dealing with this flood just like any Houstonian is yet they're thousands of miles away. It would've meant a ton to these guys to be able to play just 4 hours drive away from their families and the place they call home. They haven't been home in over a week and I can't imagine what it's like to be away as these events unfold.
Jose Altuve asked Hinch and I quote 'How long do I have to pay with this on my heart?'. So if you don't think that the location of these three games didn't mean anything I don't know what to tell you.
And yes Daniels offered to play them in Arlington but it had strings attached. He made a business decision when it should've been a humanatarian decision.
The fact I'm having to explain this speaks volumes to the character of the organization and fan base.
And with that I'm done speaking on the subject. You either get it or you don't. Now let's get back to baseball.
