Playing in Tampa is just dumb. Not sure if the logistics work or not, but someone on the Astros thread mentioned playing in Arlington, let the Astros be the home team, and let the proceeds go to disaster relief. This is a great idea....let some Texans help out some fellow Texans.
Saw on twitter that there was possibly weather concerns with playing in Arlington as well.

Yeah, I might be sympathetic if Houston hosted one home weekend series against the Rangers this year.
It would have been virtually impossible to promote and sell tickets to the games if the series is played here in Arlington this short of notice. If you swap home and home, you're giving the Astros a month in advance to promote and sell tickets. Not exactly a fair swap financially. I'm not discounting the ****ty situation in Houston right now, but seems like it was the most fair solution to both clubs.
Also, the Rangers will be donating money to the relief effort in Houston after the Angels series this weekend.

No it wouldn't. It wouldn't be the normal crowd but anyways, hope the Rangers enjoy paying to fly and put up a major league roster for 3 days on short notice on the Florida coast leading up to Labor Day weekend.
It's baseball. Quit acting like you need to hardcore promote it. There would have been plenty of butts in seats, no matter when it was. Rangers just tried to pull a fast one and get off slick due to Houston's misfortune

Y'all are acting like the Rangers are turning away storm refugees. The Astros had the choice to play this series in Arlington, where they have plenty of fans, or in Tampa. They chose Tampa.
The Rangers were trying to get 3 extra home games to keep their submerged playoff chances alive

Geez. Overdramatic much? Forgive the Rangers for not wanting a fourth consecutive series on the road after a ten game west coast trip when they could well be in the thick of a wild card chase.
The Rangers offered to play this series anywhere Houston wanted. Houston chose Tampa. Stop making this something it isn't.
"Offering" to play all 6 games in Arlington is a BS offer.

You conveniently cut out the second of what I said to fit your narrative.
Of course there would be SOME fans at the game if it were in Arlington. Maybe a few thousand, resulting in a fraction of the revenues the Astros get if the September series is moved to Houston since they'd have a month to promote it
