I can only imagine how pissed I'd be if we lost homefield advantage because of an exhibition game played in July where we had a couple guys play for a couple innings.

Agreed... I could see sitting Reddick for one game in the middle of the series, but with just one game left you go with him.

Besides the single vs. Kimbrel (and that was a hell of an at-bat, but c'mon that was two feet from being a weak ground out) I can't remember the last time I saw Reddick knock in a tying or go-ahead run (I could be wrong, just off the top of my head). I recall two Maybin game-winning HR's in the first week he joined the team.
We don't need a ridiculously great bat, just someone who can perform in a clutch situation, especially in front of the pitcher's spot.
No I'm saying the reverse. Okay so it seems like y'all don't understand what my all star game post was saying.
I agree it was a STUPID rule.... I was saying that it sucks it got changed the year we made the world series.
I'll make a comparison. I loved that we joined the SEC ..... but it's ironic that the season we leave the Big 12 (2012) was the year that we probably would have won it. Does that mean the move to the SEC was bad and "it was a conspiracy" ... no.... it's just funny timing.

I have seen a lot of negative feelings about this game on social media...I just have something I want to say.
- Houston overcame 3 significant injuries to All Stars to win the division by 20 damn games
- Houston overcame a 3-2 lead in game 4 in Boston against Sale and Kimbrel to win the damn ALDS
- Houston overcame a 3-2 series lead to NYY after three miserable performances to win the damn ALCS
- and most importantly...Houston overcame 50 damn inches of rain from Harvey and we are still kicking ass as much as ever.
WE LIVE FOR OUR BACKS BEING AGAINST THE WALL.
GAME 7 AINT ***** LETS ****ING GO.

Timing of the home field advantage rule change was a little unfortunate, but it's a positive change, so I can't complain.
Now the Dodgers $265M payroll is a little ridiculous. Baseball has long needed a salary cap. The Dodgers have made some bad signings that they are still paying for. In what would cripple most clubs, they just keep tacking on additional salary. It would be nice to see bad signings hurt everyone. They've invested a lot in this World Series run, including over $100M going to guys not contributing, or in some cases, not even on the team anymore.

My first hope is that we win 12-0 or any other lead which we can consider safe.
If we can't do that, my next hope is Bregman giving us the lead by hitting a bomb off Jansen in the 9th and running around the bases yelling "no shot" the entire way.
