Dude is hitting .201 since the All Star break that would be a horrible look for MVP voters.

I look at it this way...if we can get all our studs playing the way they were in the first half hopefully the incredible road record will come back too and home field won't be as critical. Obviously we'd love to have it but no team was better on the road than we were in the first half.

I don't think home field is the concern. Having to beat both the red soxs and Indians is more the concern.

I was just reading over the box score from last night's game...Altuve had 4 official ABs. And saw only 4 pitches all night. First ball hitting all 4 ABs. And, he went to RF a number of times as I recall.
Pete, not close to gloating at all.irish pete ag06 said:
This is not meant to be a gloating post, but I have to share my excitement.
My dad is a huge astros fan. He also has multiple sclerosis and is semi-bound to a wheel chair. With the help of a buddy of mine who works in baseball, I was able to get ADA tickets to the Friday ALDS game. I didn't think we would be able to pull it off, but we did. I am so fired up to get to take my dad to a playoff game at MMP and for him to get to experience how electric that park can be.
Still have all 10 seats for Sunday night's game.Ag12thman said:

Not sure if any of you watched the postgame but both Springer and Hinch mentioned that George got a talkin to from AJ specifically telling him that although the hustle is appreciated he didn't wanna see that kinda slide until October.
Kinda funny to hear them both grin and mention that it wasn't the smartest decision.

the strategy for the final series at Fenway will be very interesting.
as the Red Sox' rotation stands right now...Chris Sale would be scheduled to pitch the last game of the season on Sunday, October 1st.
so even if the Indians clinch the #1 seed a few days earlier (and assuming the Yankees remain within striking distance)...the Astros need to press Boston hard to force them to pitch their best guys the final weekend
