This team doesn't suck, but the pitching staff injury problem I think has forced this offense into thinking they have to score a bunch and are now pressing, not having as quality of ABs as they were when they were clicking.

I don't understand why we don't play well at home. And our offense really needs to pick up the slack of our injured pitching staff. I don't believe in having a highly-charged and emotional manager over the course of a 162 game schedule but this is perhaps a good spot for Hinch to find a reason to go ape on an umpire or do something just to hit the reset button for the squad. Maybe that would help the guys relax and refocus and play good Astros baseball.

How many times does an offense press when they know they need to carry the team and lead to bad ABs and lots of hands turning over and groundouts? Seems like it happens all the time. I think it's kind of happening now.

That could very well be the case. The reality is they weren't going to play at the .700 level they were on for four more months. But they may have a 2-8 home stand of this trend continues.

I would argue that we are trying to be too patient. We watched a lot of first pitch strikes today.
