Is Peacock facing sub-par competition, or is he a decent starter to keep in the rotation? He has a 2.18 era (iirc) and is 2-0. Keuchel is having a good impact on this pitching staff.

Peacock is good for about 1.5 times through the rotation. Then the wheels seem to fall off. Hopefully it the case today, but time will tell

I think we've seen enough of peacock this season to say that how well he's pitching probably isn't a fluke.

That being said, the transition from bullpen to the rotation isn't easy, and he has definitely struggled when his pitch count gets around 40-60. I hope he'll go longer and longer into games, but usually after the 4th he comes back down to earth pretty hard.

That's a good point and I've heard Hinch say it as well. That they're going to have stretch Peacock over several games to get him into the starting rotation.
