Also, I watched Kyle Tucker play this past weekend in Corpus. Was not impressed, honestly. Jogged to first base every single time, once there was an error which he would have beat out if he was running at least 50%, but ended up still getting thrown out. He also never once sprinted on or off the field which was sad as well. I'm not trying to bash the guy, but he seemed like he had no interest in playing baseball that day. But that all could change when he gets called up. Who am I to judge

I actually think McCullers to the DL might not be terrible news. As long as he'll be back and it's not serious, it would explain his struggles and hopefully he'll be back and locked in for the postseason. This huge divisional lead really is paying dividends right now

Yeah, I do also feel slightly better that he's going on the DL because maybe it's something they can sort out physically rather than it just being him sucking all of a sudden.

I've been saying all month that I think he's still hurt kinda like Keuchel last year. I'm glad he's going to the DL. Hopefully it'll get him right.

There was no ace or elite reliever available apparently, Darvish is the only one that I would say really could be that level that moved. Really surprised the Padres stuck to their idiotic guns on Hand. It makes sense that every good team wants relievers more than ever now at the deadline, but bad teams holding onto relievers? For what?Take the best that you can get and replace them when you're good, dont get left holding the bag at the end because you want the world. Stupid decision. The good teams all need relievers, yes, but they are also all the teams that aren't dumb enough to trade their farms for basically interchangeable commodities on a season by season basis, too.
