Claudio pitched 2 innings.
Sorry Mr. ESPN, he's pretty good, but looked pretty meh tonight. I'd back off on that "best player" hype._lefraud_ said:gigem1223 said:
Mike Trout/ Angels love fest on espn. Hope we crush them tonight
He's the best player you'll see in your lifetime. Sit back and enjoy it.
Got on base twice, gunned down the go ahead run. Not bad for an off night.Quote:

I'd be okay if he's a cross between Darryl Strawberry, Eric Davis, and Josh Hamilton.Quote:
19-year old CF in rookie league. 6'5", fast, raw power. Considered to have high bust potential, but also star potential.
Must have happened after I went to bed because all I saw was 0 for 2 or 3, and remember thinking that two of the best players (Trout and Andrus) were both struggling a bit at the plate.94chem said:Got on base twice, gunned down the go ahead run. Not bad for an off night.Quote:

It's not "hype" when he absolutely is the best player in the game. It's really not even close. Harper is a great one, but Trout is on pace to be talked about w/ names such as Mays, Ruth, Mantle, etc.MooreTrucker said:Sorry Mr. ESPN, he's pretty good, but looked pretty meh tonight. Just think what his AAV is going to be w/ his next contract.Quote:
I'm also happy that his salary is about to skyrocket to $33 million per year beginning next year (2018-2019) vs. the bargain that he's been.

I don't love watching him when he's playing the Rangers, but he is bar none the best player in the MLB and essentially has been since he started as a freaking 19 year old or whatever.free_mhayden said:
Love watching Trout.
7 weeks X 7 Days = almost 50 Days. What is the suspension penalty for PEDs and Adderral?RetiredAg said:
The crazy thing about Trout is that he missed 7 weeks, and still may win the MVP. This is arguably his best season so far. .330/.457/.670 w/ an OPS+ of 200. Five top-2 MVP finishes in 5 seasons. He's just other-worldly.
He's tied all-time in WAR w/ Vada Pinson after 5+ seasons. Pinson played 18 very solid seasons, finishing w/ over 2,700 hits.
I'd take Matt Purke over Trout anyday... everyday!MSFC Aggie said:
Ya....gotta believe Trout's the best. For those of you who think otherwise, give us the name of the guy who you think is the best.
I'll always think of it as the BPiA, but if some insurance company wants to boost our payroll by $40mm/yr then they can call it whatever the hell they want.AccidentProne said:
Without a sponsor that brings in an additional $40 million per year?
