Some terrific pitching by LeClerc in the 8th. Hitters had no clue.

I keep thinking they will get on a roll and 12-15 games. Who knows what's going on with them.

Hard to believe they're only 2 games out of the 2nd WC. Love the performance by ABD today, but hopefully Hamels/ Griffin/ Ross can join the rotation soon and be effective, plus adding back Gomez. Who knows? I really haven't the slightest idea about this damn team. As soon as you think they're done they rattle off a few wins and suck you back in.

No one is more than 5.5 games out in the AL, although the difference in games played is kind of messing with the standings.

Boston isn't running away with the 1st wild card, either. Everyone is still kind of in that mix, too

It showed him at 2nd in Games Played. 272 behind Brooks Robinson. It is one reason I don't think he'll be traded, and I believe why the Rangers signed him through 2018.

H in MLB (quest for 3,000): 2,953
2B - Already #1: 576
HR - 421 (3rd: Mathews has 486, Schmidt has 509)
RBI - Already #1: 1506
Runs - 1,365 (Schmidt has 1,403, Boggs has 1,408) - Ariel Latham has 1481, but doesn't split by position. Of his 1634 GP, 1573 were at 3B, with 61 being other positions.

Ks - I think he is 3rd

Brooks Robinson - 16 (all in a row, I believe)
Schmidt - 10 (9 in a row)
Rolen - 8

Bell, Chavez & Ventura - 6
Beltre, Boyer, Rader and Santo 5

Doubt he'll get one this year.

Hamels threw 55 pitches in the BP during Perez's previous start. Said he felt good afterward, and Brocail said he looked good. Might be back sooner than expected?

Gomez had first rehab start over the weekend. DH, went 1-3 with a walk.

Good to hear. Having a fresh Hamels in June may pay dividends in September. Be nice if he can return to form.

He has been activated to pitch tonight. Last GS was May 26.

He was put on the DL for "shoulder discomfort."

Hopefully we are patient tonight and force him to hit his spots.
