Man, you guys really love to get into with each other.
Keep calm and hate gomez, not each other.

because our manager that Ag07 is in love with think he's a better option than Gattis
It's a damn shame that most of you aren't in the front office or managing instead of Hinch or running the team instead of Luhnow. I've never seen such a damn collection of baseball intelligence than this thread. It's impressive.
Prove it. Both Hinch and Luhnow have both said that Hinch makes personnel decisions. He has input from Luhnow, but the final call is on him.
And this thread is mostly reactionary game by game emotional fan posts. Insulting us doesn't make you any smarter. You are more than free to stay on crawfish boxes and hype up Joe Sclafani with your other circle jerkers.

Joe Musgrove was promoted to AAA.
Puts his AA record in the books at 1.51 ERA, 63 SO, 9 BB in 71.1 innings this year and last.

got on base at an .800 clip.

It's a small test, but we can bring some non-hitting Statcast data into the conversation. In 2015, when making a max-effort throw, Gomez averaged 98.3 mph from the outfield. In 2016, that number is just 92.5 mph. Granted, 92.5 mph is a good number, but that is a substantial decline and might give us reason to worry about Gomez's overall health.
quote:We have so many starters, it's going to be a wait and see approach. Not that often does a rookie SP come in and do that well. If out of the 7 starters we have right now, we aren't winning halfway through the season, then go for it. Pitching has been doing a lot better lately.quote:If he is doing well by mid June I say call him up.

His OPB was over .800 in both 2013 and 2014

This is why I'm not a Hinch fan.
I get that we're going against a RHP, but you're looking at basically 4 free outs, which is half of your lineup with Gomez, Valbuena, Kratz, and Marisnick.
