That would make sense. I saw a few days ago some maps (not sure if they're called heat maps since hes a pitcher) on MLB Network showing his pitch location. Last couple of years he was very consistent pounding low and away. This year it's way more sporadic.

I think hitters are also doing a better job of laying off of the low and away stuff more. And that's when the lack of calls definitely would come into play.

it seems his low and away his drifted to " a few inches above the knee cap and dead center" When you add that he's throwing mid 80s now it's a recipe for disaster

In an article I read (I'll see if I can find it), he said that people have adjusted to him and are hitting his 2-seamer better, so his response has been to throw more cutters.

He also spoke about the velocity drop. He said he's making an adjustment by throwing less in between games because of the amount of innings he's pitched over the last 3 seasons have taken more of a toll on him than he had thought.

Interesting. I think everyone reasonably expects that Correa will spin down to third. Maybe that's still the long term plan, but they don't want to move Correa mid season? Hmm.
