It has always been my understanding if you move the player from DH to a field position, you give up the DH function.

I could be wrong. Maybe AccidentProne has someone in the office that knows baseball rules?!

Could in theory put profar there. Could you not also simply switch their positions? Happens in the outfield fairly often.

Pretty sure this is correct. Nadel pointed out the option of putting Rua at first and using a defensive replacement in the outfield.
