EDIT: And since the Astros actually won the game, they actually did make it to the postseason even if you want to consider it a play in game.

Yes they did and despite the Rangers sitting at home that postseason it didn't keep some Ranger fans from posting gifs of Puljos' shot that extended the NLDS or revel in the 'Stros getting swept by the ChiSox after making it to the Series anyways.
Absolutely. I remember hearing "The Rangers won as many World Series games as the Astros did" after Houston got swept by the White Sox. Now people can't take it when they hear that Houston won as many playoff games as Texas. It wasn't a pathetic comment to make a decade ago; it's only pathetic now.

In all honesty, I thought our brothers from the north were gonna do some damage in the playoffs. Baseball playoffs really are a bltch. Play 162 games of good baseball and it's all wiped out in 3 games. Never thought it was right.

Yes, basic logic like not getting to choose which games count towards your record?

Why not drop the Angels or A's? Take those 26 wins away and the 'stros would be dead last in all of MLB with 58 wins.

Good luck in the off-season. Maybe, if you guys play your cards right and make some moves, you could improve to 5-14 against the Texas Rangers next year. Who knows, maybe even finally win a 3 game series.

Yes, but to get an accurate gauge against the rest of the league you must remove the head to head results.

If the Astros and Rangers performed the same against the rest of the league, please explain how Texas is to blame for the AL West being "the big 12 of the MLB". What has Houston done to lift the division?

This is the absolute worst argument that Houston fans have made this year and there have been some gigantic stretches that it outdoes. Stick with the run differential championship that you guys didn't even lead the division in.
