It was really good to see Julio Teheran get back on track last night. Granted, it was against a struggling Brewers team, but can't argue with 7IP and only 1 run allowed with 8K's. Hope this is the beginning of his returning to his form from last season. BTHO Milwaukee!

Hopefully Hector Olivera will turn into the star that they're expecting. Apparently the international scouting department loves him. Paco should be a pretty solid bullpen arm assuming that the elbow cleanup is nothing more serious. Bird's numbers don't look to promising, but they say he's got a live arm.

I think part of the upside in the deal is that LA is paying the remaining installments of Olivera's signing bonus, meaning the Braves will have some free money to spend on another free agent bat in the off season. Really need a mashing corner outfielder and a catcher. As good as Wood has seemed, his peripherals are all down and it's possible that he's getting ready to fall off, especially with that funky delivery. There are definitely a lot of good young starters in the system that a guy like Wood is somewhat expendable.

The head scratcher is unloading Peraza. Everybody seems to love him, but maybe they don't feel the same way internally. I guess there is the potential log jam when Albies is ready that they're trying to avoid. I guess we won't really know who won this trade for a few years, but I can understand the initial frustration.

Braves have been absolutely putrid lately. They need to just go ahead and keep losing and grab the top pick in next year's draft. I would like to see the young pitchers perform a little better though.

Braves are miserable right now. Olivera has somehow managed 3 RBI's so far while going 1-10.

They are calling up pitchers at this point that I had never even heard of from the minors.

Oh and the NL East currently has the three worst records in the league. Terrible division.

Of the top 14 prospect list on MLB.com, only three are position players. And of those Albies and Davidson are still very young. Ruiz didn't have a particularly strong year, hitting .233 with only 5 HR's. With the make up of our current roster, we better win a whole lot of 1-0 games.

While I don't mind trading Maybin at this point, more pitchers? I would have rather have taken lower rated position players at this point.
