It really shouldn't though. You have no idea how a player is going to progress and you have no idea what will happen with your current roster. If it happens to where you have depth at a position down the line you trade for a position of weakness.


Just because it shouldn't doesn't mean it doesn't lol. Some teams take best overall and some factor in depth. Just depends on the team

I hope the rest of these teams pass on Gallo or Piscotty. Those could be huge steals for the Astros if they fall that far. Rangers should grab Piscotty if they dont go pitcher.

IT says at the worst Mccullers could be a MLB back end reliever and best a front line power starter. Sounds like just the type of guy to pair up with Cosart and Folty.
