It's not necessarily my favorite song on the album but I do really like it and it's good for a user name. Rain When I Die or Love, Hate, Love (I know it's off Facelift) don't work quite as well for that.

What was the moneyline on that game? 5 v 1 on the road and win... had to be close to +300.

For my 1000th post, I will recount a story from last weekend when I went to Chicago for the Reds series. I just happened to run into a friend from high school in Texas at Wrigley during the Saturday afternoon game. He used to always give me crap about the Cubs. It was his first time ever at Wrigley and he simply said, "I get it now. This is awesome."

The Cubs took 2 out of 4 from Philly at Philly. All in all that's not too bad. There are still a lot of improvements I'd like to see, opportunities taken advantage of (and no, I'm not talking about the RBI they get when they GiDP with the bases loaded), Marmols demoted, etc.

No kidding. Honestly, to this point, I'd believe Sveum's under orders from up top to have him out there to give him some kind of value so they can get rid of him, and that was the plan all season after his terrible end of 2011.
3 year, 20 million dollar deal. And he's started off being terrible and continued that into year 2.
Marmol currently has 9 walks to 8 Ks as a closer. Terrible.

ahh the "what if" game... woulda been 14-12 if those saves weren't blown.
The good news is our starting pitching has been better than anyone could have figured. Dempster, Samarjz, Garza, Maholm (last 3) all doing better than expected.
The Cubs win in 11 after coming back in the 9th. Dolis got the win, and T. Wood pitched 6 giving up 3 earned.
