Bryant must be tearing it up in practice. The Spurs wouldn't keep giving him minutes if they didn't think he could help them. This is the first game where he actually has. I hope it's just the beginning.

His athleticism is easily noticable. He just needs a little confidence and she tells to get the game to slow down some. Definitely looked like he was a lot more comfortable today. Even when he was guarding the bigs.

No kidding. I know there is some sample size stuff and it's only half way through the season, but a 35% to 40% jump from 3 for our center is pretty remarkable.

No kidding. I know there is some sample size stuff and it's only half way through the season, but a 35% to 40% jump from 3 for our center is pretty remarkable.

Looking at his last 10 games:

52/47/84 shooting
25.8mpg
26.4ppg
9.5rpg
2.6 stocks
+69 overall

Should we be thinking about limiting the minutes for higher efficiency when we are healthy? Kind of shows the need for better PF play for our team because then we could rest him a bit more.

I think Wemby is a much worse shooter when tired, and he has a bad habit of trying to force it when he is. The limited minutes have had a positive impact on his shooting percentages.

Agree completely.

If we can move Olynyk for a cost controlled rotation player this year:


* Sam Hauser ~11M/6.5% of cap for 3 more years
* Royce ONeale ~11M/6.5% of cap for 2 more years
* Bobby Portis ~14.5 and 15.5 next two years, ~8.75% of cap

Then draft a guy that can be a rotation player:

* Boozer
* Dybansa
* Caleb Martin
* Yaxel
* Koa Peat
* Nate Ament
* Steinbach
* Karin Lopez
* Joshua Jefferson
* Henri Veesaar
* Patrick Ngongba

We can do whatever we want with Barnes (keep on smaller contract?) and Sochan and still have the MLE to address any weaknesses via FA or trade. Getting elite depth can get us in a position where we can play Wemby ~28mpg and get higher level play from him without falling off as much when he is out by having the right PF next to Wemby and the right one next to Kornet.

Spurs trying to eff up a nice lead going into the fourth. I get Wemby is on the court but another night of Mitch trotting out a lineup of starters and bench to start the fourth while the opponent comes out with full starter lineup.

Time and time again when spurs are up big they shoot 3s and go cold while the other team makes buckets to cut the lead and back in it. Happening again tonight. I want to say spurs has taken at least 5-7 three pointers in a row and missed. They have not taken a 2 pointer.
