Funny, because it's not a coaching problem

Exactly. Harden is toxic. He's been paired (or trio'd) with some of the best players in the world. And flames out every time.

Impressive the way the Lakers hunted down Murray on that pick-and-roll all fourth quarter. If they had maybe a couple of more minutes, probably would've come back on Denver. Should be a good series.

This is the first game I've watched. Jimmy Buckets has delivered. He might be my favorite player now. I'm Heat fan now.

I'm rooting for him. Nothing like a #8 seed coming out of no where to win it all though because some dude just went off.

Celtics seem to play down to their opponent and they have an identity problem. Who's team is it: Brown or Tatum? Brown seem to be taking many shots down the stretch that Tatum should have been taking.

I think if you ask most people, it is Tatum's team. If you ask Brown, it is Brown's team.

I was watching JJ Reddick's assessment on First Take and then saw this. Their games are not complimentary and it's pretty evident that their lack of chemistry hurts them at critical points in the game just like last nights. If this series is going to be played pretty tight all the way, I don't see how they can win those ball games.

I remember Tatum committing 3 straight turnovers in last night's game and I think it's because he got caught in a situation where he didn't know where to go. If Murray, AD, or even Adebayo don't know where to go, they know they can pass to Jokic, Lebron, or Butler, but I don't think that the Celtics have that one player defined. It is kind of like the Kawhi and Paul George situation.

Haven't watched it, but in the history of the NBA, building around two wings and a bunch of role players is incredibly difficult.

Warriors, Bulls and no one else, pretty much. Curry, Jordan, and Pippen could all act as a point guard, though.

LeBron's teams are an exception since he could play as a big and a point at the same time.

Maybe my memory is off, but I don't remember MJ being such a consistent overly dramatic flopper.

I certainly don't remember him pretending there was contact when there was no contact and diving into some fans, drinks and popcorn

While this is true the whole league is full of floppers. The game has changed since the 90s and the referees continue to reward guys for flopping so it continues.

I suggested years ago to have something like a flagrant system where you have two levels of flop. Level one gets a fine of one game's salary. Level 2 flop gets you a fine and suspension for a game. These are all reviewed post game.

Get six flop points (1 point for level 1, 2 points for level 2) and get a 3 game suspension.

Bron's flop flying 15 feet into the front row is a level 2.

NBA won't even try something like this because they clearly don't want to effectively address it

You know, NBA players have resorted to flopping because the officials allow it. Players in the 90's and earlier didn't flop because the officials didn't make those calls.

Freedom of movement and the NBA trying to increase scoring by calling hand checking fouls is what has made the current players floppers.

If the officials didn't call ticky tack fouls and flagrant fouls, the players would adjust and play on.

I think they do address it for many of the lesser known players.

With LeBron and the more famous players, the NBA refs are like pro wrestling refs doing the old tag team match when when the one heel turns the refs back to the corner where the heel's partner works the face over, including strangling them with the tag team rope. It's like, how many times can you fall for that gag, yet here we are, and Kyle Lowry, James Harden and LeBron will receive the whistle after flopping their head back with replay showing minimal contact.
