Dime a dozen and with him not under contract after this year made his value next to nothing

All these swaps make the draft so complicated I have no idea what pick we'll get.

We get the 2 best picks out of the nets, rockets and heat in 2022. So the heat and rockets picks most likely

Which unless the Heat implode next year looking at a mid to late first-round pick....which has a low hit rate of even being a solid rotation player.

But not if we don't have a top 4 pick, right? Then it switches with OKC. Don't we have a swap with the Bucks too?

Okc doesn't have our 22 picks.

We are making the our pick worse this year if we don't win the lottery for a couple spots improvement in 22.

Should have held on to Lavert.

Lavert is so overrated and he has never been anywhere close to efficient. The argument should be Simmons or the nets picks

I do see how holding on to Oladipo would have been pointless. We are not trying to win games. Our priority the rest of the season should be to get the best odds to draw a top 4 pick in the draft. Imo it came down to over-assessing his value. We thought he was worth more, and the league didn't. Wouldn't be surprised if those rumors of young talent and a first were thrown out there by the Rockets.

Olynyk is an expiring contract.

Bradley has a pretty modest $6M team option next season, so we could keep him if he worked out or pick up the option and trade him during the off-season.

1 more year of bad contracts then rockets are "free" to be a real player in free agency and making moves again.

Need to take on bad expiring this summer in exchange for assets with the cap space.

This feels like it's going to be a long rebuild.

I guess it too until the Harden trade came out of nowhere. Here's to hoping.

Ugh...I felt the same way after the trade deadline. I don't feel like we have many good players in house and we weren't given much immediate optimism through any of the trades we made. We are basically relying on luck now.

Hopefully Stone learns from this experience. We just made moves that crappy teams normally make. We are getting fleeced in almost every trade by giving up starters for pick swaps.

We need Porter Jr to develop[ and keep his head on straight. We need Wood to stay healthy and keep being a beast. We need to hit in the draft one more really solid player. Win a few games and make 1 big signing in FA. Then keep using draft picks to add players via trade or drafting.

I think along the same lines. Make joining the roster enticing. The NBA today is built on super-teams. Keeping Oladipo and watching him walk this offseason or trading for Bradley/Olynyk still accomplishes clearing cap space and it gave you a lottery ticket that doesn't have a great chance of cashing. Hope you hit on a couple of these draft picks, add to your current young talent, and when the time is right get lucky in free agency by convincing the right guy(s) to sign.

Is there an option to just forfeit the rest of the season and let whoever on the team show up and play? I understand the strategy, but no one can convince me going scoreless down the stretch was a coincidence. Just play.

I was happy with our team after the harden trade because it was a group of guys who wanted to be here and played hard. I don't like this group that purposely loses games. Rockets going to suck until 13 comes back...

Remember arguing with folks on here the Westbrook trade was a huge risk... it went wrong and here they are.

If Ben Simmons was really on the table (for his flaws) and the Rockets went for the Brooklyn pupu platter of picks and now basically Olynyk and Avery Bradley? It looks bad and get ready for at least a 3 season playoff drought.

I didn't really like the Harden trade because it felt more about vanity (look at all this stuff I got for the 'rebuild'!) than it did substance for Fertitta and/or Stone.
