A real neat video on how the Rockets from 1996-2002. It ends with the Olajuwon not signing in Houston and drafting Yao but should have ended when Rudy resigned to treat to his cancer.
The Rockets were playing well up until Rudy left. If Rudy doesn't get sick I think Rudy would have developed Francis better than JVG. Maybe Eddie Griffin could have been saved. The big 3 of Griffin, Yao, and Francis all under 25 would have been so nice if it worked out.
That early 2000 Rockets could have been what the Memphis Grizzlies are doing now.

That team regularly gives up 140 points. That's probably not a good sign. Luckily they are led by the defensive mastermind duo of Steve Nash and Pringles. I'm sure they will get it fixed by the playoffs...

Yep. I get the sense they'll be a fun team to watch during the rest of the season and will probably pull of a long streak of wins. Once crunch time hits in the playoffs and games become more defensible/intense, I think it'll be hard for them to win with their defense as constructed.Aggie09Derek said:

Scorching hot start tonight. Love seeing defense turn into easy buckets. It's also nice to watch a coach who has offensive sets and plays.

Don't miss James at all at the moment. This season could have gone a lot of different ways with how it started but so far this team looks very competitive. I'm excited to see us play with energy every night and it seems like every guy on the team is playing like they have something to prove.

All I'm saying is that Wall didn't play for more than a year and in the previous two years played 41 and 32 games respectively. this year he's missed 7 out of 19 games already. I'm super excited with the way the team is going, but expecting him to last an entire 82 + the playoffs is a high-risk bet.
And Westbrook is averaging 20.9, 9.4, 9.5 this year. He's not exactly dogfood.

Box scores are highly, highly deceiving with Westbrook, always have been. He has severely hampered their team this year. Incredibly inefficient player.
