Holding onto this pick is the first good news this franchise has had since James decided he wanted out. Hopefully this is step 1 in the rebuild.

More common than not sadly. In general in that range just happy if you can get a role player.
I'd take Mobley at the number two.
Other guys I like later in the draft:
Sharife Cooper
Davion Mitchell
Corey Kispert
Might have to trade down a bit to get any of these, most mocks have them out in the teens.

My gut today says to take Mobley but I fully get the arguments for Green and Suggs. I do wonder if we can package 23/24 and move into the teens to potentially snag a better player.AG@RICE said:

Wood and Mobley would be unnecessary given other needs. That's why I don't like it. Besides not too many top draft pick skinny bigs have become stars lately.

I'm not high on any of his abilities except shooting....but oh brother can he shoot it. Could be a Joe Harris type player that adds tremendous value just from his ability to shoot.
Green is a tough one for me. He was good, but didn't really dominate the G league. He seems like a me first chucker, but his athletic ability is tops in the draft. I wouldn't be mad if we ended up with him, but he is still a raw project. So is mobley though.
I really think mentality is super important. Hopefully Stone will find us the winner during the predraft interviews.

They won't...maybe trade down but the #1 pick will be Cade
Wonder if Stone would try to swap with Detroit in order to block somebody else from doing the same. Then take Cunningham 1 overall and allow Detroit to take Suggs or whoever they desire at 2. Of course it would all depend on cost, but I think you at least have to explore it.Aggie09Derek said:

Yea, it will be interesting to follow. Hollinger put out a pretty good breakdown on the Athletic about his top 20 prospects. Obviously had Cade 1, but the top 4 was interesting. Mobley was 2, Scottie Barnes from Florida State was 3, and Alperen Sengun from Besiktas (Turkish League MVP) was 4. Then Green and Suugs.Aggie09Derek said:

As it stands today, if we can't have Cade, give me Mobley. Then throw some darts at 23/24.

I honestly know nothing about the G league guys, but replacing Green with Suggs also would be a hell of a core imo. I just think if Wood performs to the point that he's worth more than the 3rd pick, the Rockets won't be able to compete while he's on his current contract, and then he gets real damn expensive in that case.YNWA_AG said:

This is a 2-3 year rebuild. Especially with Wall's contract. Might as well act like it.
I really like this kid Max Abmas from Oral Roberts. Not too much predraft buzz about him, but he could be a steal.
Shot 40% from 3pters @ 8 attempts a game. Also hit almost 90% of his free throws....oh ya, he led the NCAA in scoring. He is short and probably can't hang on D, but he has NBA skill.

Absolutely. I haven't seen him in many mock drafts. One of them had him going at 28 to the sixers. We could easily get him 22/23.HotardRat said:

If we get a really good offer, I might be ok with trading the number 2 and moving back for more picks.
I like mobley, but his thin frame and lack of shooting are red flags. If we got a really good offer to move back, it might be worth it. Everyone thinks it is only a 4-5 player draft, but there are a bunch of intriguing players this year. Scottie Barnes for example could have a similar impact as Mobley at the next level. Neither can shoot, both play great defense. In general, none of the players in this draft are "perfect" so it might be better to get more overall picks instead of sitting at #2 (unless detroit passes on Cade...then you take him without thinking twice)
I don't see the Blazers moving Lillard unless a gun is held to their head. There is no way Lillard is putting out an ultimatum to play for the Rockets, he is better off staying with the Blazers. I think he gets traded to a legit contender or not at all.
Based on the games I've watched, Lillard's career FG % in Toyota Center is .983.
