Million times better than the Lina tweet. What a joke.

If some conservative judge had posted what she did....people would have gone ballistic.

Glad the Rockets took the high road. I am sure we will get some social media post from James thanking the Rockets fans at some point.

It will be an empty gesture of course, I will judge James by his actions and his actions are telling me James is a *****.

This is absurd. If a conservative had posted it nobody would have cared, just like nobody cared when Lina posted it from her personal account.

Not everything is political.

I know the last couple of months soured us on Harden, but I will miss watching him dominate every night. Unlike most stars, he never took a night off and rarely had "load management". Obviously, his playoff shortcomings will be his legacy in Houston, but he helped make us a contender for several years. Will never forget about how pumped I was when we were up 3-2 against GS, but Paul hurt his hamstring. It's literally all been downhill since that night. Hopefully this is a new age for Rockets basketball...

This is just my take but I don't buy that report for one minute.

It has been well reported for almost a year that Kyrie has had personal frustrations over the NBA playing during times of "social injustice" and during the pandemic.

I read the report that he was frustrated with Nets ownership but it said that it initially started when the front office didn't consult him on the Nash hiring (I don't believe that) and that he didn't sign off on the Harden trade (more believable but NBA insiders had said Durant, Harden and Kyrie had talked about teaming up well before anyone was there).

Just my opinion. Doesn't affect the Rockets anymore once the trade is completed.

Maybe so, but what he's doing (unexplained absence then breaking NBA covid protocols to party) is awfully similar to what Harden did. Except Kyrie is doing it in the middle of the season rather than preseason.

Well said. I am certainly someone who has soured on James over the last few months but this is good perspective.

James is an incredibly entertaining player to watch, and at the end of the day that is really what sports are all about. At this point I have probably seen James play in person more than 100 times and just about every time he did something that wowed me.

Even with all of his shortcoming as a teammate and leader James is absolutely worth the price of admission.

Flat-earther Kyrie has been a head case for his whole NBA career. He doesn't understand the world and the world doesn't understand him.

Wall is worth more on the Rockets than on the market. He has a huge contract and troubling injury history. He isn't worth much unless you really want to get someone like Blake Griffin. And you don't want Blake Griffin. I don't think Cleveland would even give you Kevin Love for Wall.

If Ed Emmett posted it from his official account - 100% would make headlines in today's environment.

Yeah that's a good point and a good analogy. They are entertainers and I don't let an actor's squirrelly personal life stop me from enjoying their movies.

If Harden were an actor he'd be Chris Farley. Amazing at one thing, can carry a niche movie but never going to win an Oscar for best film. Also both fat cokeheads.

Maybe Seth Rogan. Really good at what he does, but he's always Seth Rogan. Also he's fat, lazy, and drugs dominate his life.

So here's the real question.

What are we doing to sabotage the Nets? If they become the worst team in basketball we get top 5 picks for the next 7 years....

We need a mole.

Well first off, if James Harden were an "actor" then he would be up for the "Best Actor" award at the academy awards which would be the equivalent of the MVP, which he has already won.

Second, "Best Film" would be a team award and equivalent to an NBA Championship, which no he has not won yet.

Third, I get the bad ending but are we really saying he "can carry a niche movie" and that's it? He is going to go down in history as one of the most prolific scorers in NBA history.

You know what would work? Get James Harden and Kyrie Irving on the same team!

Exactly what I was thinking. We have done all we can to sabotage their tema chemistry so now we just sit back and wait.

"Well first off" I was just trying to have some fun - I didn't put a ton of thinking into it. I was just thinking about a fat cokehead who was really good but not well-rounded (figuratively), and that's the first guy that popped into my head...but thank you for the thoughtful analysis.

Yes, I think the Dantoni Rockets were a "niche" team. Set a lot of offensive records but not well-rounded and didn't win a championship and were bad when it mattered most. Harden can't carry a championship team and he knows that or he wouldn't have forced a trade to a team where he is the 2nd or 3rd best player.

How Harden goes down in history is TBD. He's certainly a HOFer. I would guess he ends up like Barkley. Got pretty close, tried to jump on a superteam that didn't work out, never got his ring.

Makes sense. He's in his athletic prime and can't imagine he wants to be part of any type of rebuild.

Jesus we are just the middle man to get good players to their destination of choice. What a joke

Edit: and we have to cater to and send everybody where they want to go even if it means a worse return

I'm thinking Stone knew this when he made the trade. Easier to flip Oladipo to a contender than Levert

True and it helps us tank and maybe tank enough to keep our pick if I understand correctly. I'm just laughing at the entitlement of these guys

This makes sense, or Stone figured Oladipo is kind of a nobody so he wont try to throw his weight around like James did.

I really hope that we knew this was coming and were already in the process of shopping him. Assuming this report is true.
