Where did the Nets offer even originate from? On what planet does that offer make sense? Levert and Dinwiddie are 26 and 27 respectively.
Neither is a particularly good player nor do they have much upside at this point. They're on decent contracts but not on rookie deals.
Jarret Allen is a non-shooting big man. What's his upside? Andre Drummond? Keep him, I don't want to tie up any cap on that. Even Kyrie is a late 20s, somewhere in the 15-20th best player in the league range.
And there's no amount of late first round picks that makes any difference. If you gave the Rockets the 26th overall pick in perpetuity until the end of humanity, there's a good chance you'd get maybe a single player who's better than the 9th man on a title winning team.
I'd trade Harden for Durant. That's it. Harden is probably the 6th or 7th best player in the league when everyone is healthy. Durant is probably the 1st or 2nd BUT he IS coming off major injury. We'll take the risk.
Levert, Dinwiddie, and Allen is the kind of offer you make for Demar Derozen. If the Rockets are even entertaining this offer, we as a fanbase are in DEEP trouble.
