Weber was absolutely insufferable. Glad we proved him wrong down the stretch.
I hope this style of play is sustainable. Defenders were flying around and basically swarming their big guys. The ball movement was something we haven't seen in a while. I also liked the rotations of always keeping people fresh on the court. Now if we could just get Russ to stop taking 17-18 footers.
Last night will go a long way in terms of confidence for this team. The only thing I worry about is a 7 game series against the Lakers or Nuggets. Could we sustain that level of defense every game?
Clanton is spot on. It is only a regular season win against the conference leader but if we had gone out and lost by 10 the media would have torn us apart.
Nobody knows for sure whether this will work out but it can be expected that everyone is rooting against us. People don't like change and want to believe that the only way to succeed is to do things the way they have always been done.
I am excited to see where the rest of this season takes us. If we play with that same kind of energy night in and night out we are going to be a really fun team to watch.

After watching last night, I think one thing I hadn't really thought about is the dog mentality of this team vs. years past. Adding Russ and now RoCo to pair with an attitude like Tucker certainly doesn't hurt when talking about sustaining defensive performance over the course of a 7-game series.
Another brief thought I had last night was the Rockets kind of "auditioning" against the Lakers and whoever else they play leading up to the March 1st deadline for roster additions. You might get some of these buyout candidates watching these games thinking damn I need to be a part of that.
