He would vastly improve defense and rebounding but having an actual center in the lineup seems to be what we are trying to get away from.

Well sure, I'd take anyone better than what we've already got, but comment was in response to another post about "winning" the trade.

IDK that Covington and Looney for Capela is a "win". IDK that Covington improves us enough to mitigate what we lose with Looney/Hartenstein taking up Capela's 33 minutes.

Kief Morris makes a lot of sense money wise and would allow us to stick with the small ball 5

NBA twitter keeps connecting Drummond's name to us, but I super don't understand how that would work.

And I feel like I've heard 50% of people say EG can be traded and 50% say that he cannot. I don't get it anymore.

Trading for Covington was going all in on Westbrook by giving him more space and shooters.

The ClutchFans Podcast said this week EG can't be traded until the offseason.

I get what you mean, and I was in the line of thinking Looney and RoCo in exchange for Capela would be worth it. You get someone who can defend the premier guys you will face in the playoffs like LeBron and Kawhi, plus a center who can step in and give you 15-20 minutes when you aren't playing small ball.

I mentioned before but I'm interested to see what an average center looks like with the benefit of Russ and Harden potentially elevating their game. Capela wasn't an offensive weapon aside from easy put backs, alleys, and great setups. I.e. couldn't create his own shot. I think Looney or even Morris could do just as well in this system.

I'm okay with the gamble. We weren't competing with the LA teams without shaking it up a bit.

Westbrook's contract is borderline untradable. Basically no way we can move him.

Three more years on that Wiggins deal after this year at about $30m per. I guess they think he's worth it beside Clay and Steph. They'll have a pretty good pick in this draft obviously too.

With Steph over $40 million per, and Clay over $30 million per, they're practically in the tax with those 3 players.

Draymond is making just over $18 million per in the final year of his contract. Wonder if he's going to be happy and willing to make a lot less than Wiggins to stay a Warrior next year.

Andrew Wiggins was the worst player in the league last year. Every basketball instinct he has is wrong. All there is, is elite athleticism.

No idea what the Warriors are thinking. Russell is inefficient but at least has a positive box plus minus, better winshare/48 and has been to the playoffs.

Better draft pick by getting rid of DLo this year plus wiggins has played much better. Wiggins fills a position of need as well
