Guess we felt Capela wasn't the answer to our ultimate goal. Really he was the only real option to move to get us under the tax.
Feels like such a glaring weakness being so undersized. We're not done, but I'm not sure enough can be done in the buyout market.
It'll probably shake out the same in the end. Good enough to make the playoffs and win a round. Not good enough to knock of either Of the LAs or MIL in the postseason.

I can't believe that Houston has to give up so much in that trade.

We effectively trade Capela and future pick for Covington, Bell and 2nd rounder. Green and Nene weren't contributing this year so are just contract dumps.
If we can use the cap space to acquire someone else still has the potential to upgrade roster

The sports radio guys here in Atlanta think they are getting Olajuwon in this trade. They are giving Capela way too much credit.
I know why we did this and as of now I am glad we did but I am going to miss Clint. He is one of the few guys Daryl has actually drafted and he has come a long way from his first few years backing up Dwight Howard. Clint was a project in every sense of the word and he has turned in to a pretty good NBA player. I will be rooting for Clint for the rest of his career and am glad we got to see him develop in to the player he is today.
Ditto. By all accounts a great guy.
Maybe this works out but it seems like the Rockets are just getting worse with every move.
