I just can't imagine a team parting with something worthwhile and taking on CP's contract.

But then again, Morey knows which franchises are run by morons. Hopefully he is peppering them with offers right now.

Got some nuggets from my guy.

-Morey and Tillman are definitely NOT at odds with each other. They're actually good friends. Bill Simmons and others are talking out of their asses
-CP3 is almost certainly gone. Almost a lock.
-Locker room is not a big fan of CP3 right now
-CP3, Gordon, Capela, and a 1st rounders was mentioned as a potential package. The only teams he specifically hinted at as trade partners was a three-way trade with the Lakers and Pelicans. Will it actually happen? Who knows, **** changes quickly in trade talks. But it's at least being discussed.

My 100% total guess, as I've proven on here, I know very little, but it probably stems from CP3 getting traded for a locker room favorite with the hopes he'd resign at a discount, but ultimately demanding the ridiculous contract may be rubbed some people wrong. He probably also calls Harden out on his crap and if the team loves James, that could sour some relationships.

That would be Anthony Davis here. CP to the Lakers. Not sure how the rest would work out. The Lakers would be giving up a lot to take on that contract not sure they would ever come around to that deal

Lol. CP3 isn't getting traded. He's the third highest paid player and his days of being even third team all NBA are over. He probably only has one year of even playing at a high level. Then he's just dead money. For the last two years of his contract.

They should have just passed on re-signing CP3. They must have thought he had 2 or 3 solid years left in him instead of less than 1. I would do almost anything to trade him now because his trade value will be less than nothing once he shows more aging next season.

Maybe Lebron might want to trade for him since they are buddies.

That is a long shot scenario considering the Pelicans are probably going to do everything to avoid trading AD to the Lakers.

I feel like we're stuck with these bad contracts. Other than Kazuma, I wouldn't want anyone from the Lakers. Morey has pulled off some crazy trades before, but this season is different. With so many free agents, & the Pelicans sitting pretty with AD as a trading piece, I dont know what we could get. & New York & the Clippers are going to be big draws for FAs.

This is actually something that Morey got right by playing the waiting game and not giving Capela the $ that he really wanted. His contract is pretty favorable and actually would be one of the easier ones to trade. There are 17 other Centers making more money than him this year and next. He sees a jump in the last two years but theres no telling where he will rank based on other contracts signed by then, and he will still only be the 6th highest paid.

If we dump CP3 on Lebron, I really want Caruso part of the return. I've always thought he had a chance to be a useful NBA player. He has always been a really crafty passer and Pringles could probably help him shine. He has a really small sample size in the NBA, but he has great shooting numbers so far (48% from 3 on only 50 attempts last year). If he goes to the PJ Tucker school of defending he might carve out a good career.

I still got my hopes on resigning House too. He had a terrible playoffs, but he can get better.

I love cheering for Aggies on my professional team, it consolidates the pain.

1. I know somebody who works for the Rockets but not in the Front Office and I can assure you, anybody close to Morey is about as tight lipped as they come.

2. Your 'guy' sure seems to be in line with all the NBA news aggregators when it comes to his Rockets inside info.

I too keep thinking that LA might be the best place to go fishing for a CP3 deal, especially if LA strikes out in free agency. They are kind of in a weird limbo right now with the Magic Johnson fallout, Pelinka lies, and a mixture of an aging LeBron with a lot of younger talent. I don't necessarily see us "winning" any deal that moves CP3, but if Morey can get it done at minimal cost to the team he will look like the evil genius we know he can be.

Like at the deadline when you had super double secret insider info about a huge move that was a done deal but then nothing happened? Like when you told us how much your guy told you that the organization valued James Ennis and how their super advanced analytics showed that he was a better player than Eric Gordon? And then they dumped Ennis for a swap of 2nd round draft picks, which is worth about as much as a game-worn Dwight Howard jersey?

You are about as full of $h!t as anyone can get. At best, you're not a very good friend. If I worked for the Rockets, you are the last guy I would share inside info with. If Morey is as tight-lipped as everyone says, he would not want this info out here. Why would someone close to him share information with a guy that is going to go blab all over forums with it?

LeBron is owed 37MM next year, 39MM is 2020, and 41MM in 2021.
CP3 is owed 35MM next year, 38MM in 2020, and 41 MM in 2021 and 44MM in 2022. No way they tie up 80% of their salary cap on these two guys.
