Boozer is/was a steaming pile of **** and the other two were also trades.

Counterpoint... any of these names have some say in where they are traded, so you can't really dismiss them just because it was a trade.

That said, the only player that I believe left the EC because of LeBron is Dwight Howard. Anything over the last few years (The easiest ones to remember) are out of the frying pan into the GSW fire.

The best "win for the next 2 years" team would be Houston.

All depends on what Houston or other teams would have to give up to get him.

LeBron is one of the smartest players to ever play in the NBA.

That said, he is smart enough that he will not pass up the chance to spend the rest of his career playing with Alex Caruso.

LeBron to the Lakers confirmed.

In my head I see Caruso bouncing a ball off the floor from the top of the key that Lebron throws down with one hand....or is it Bron bouncing it to AC?

LeBron should just troll every franchise he doesn't like, and anonymously put out releases that he has signed with a team, then later that day he can deny it.

The man voluntarily went to Cleveland. Not liking Houston is very surprising.

But he's from the area so that explains that dumb decision.

I think joining Boston or Houston would just make him look desperate. Especially if the Warriors still win (quite possible). Not a good look for LeBron. If he only cares about beating the Warriors then it should be Houston. It might make him feel better but I don't think it adds to his legacy.

I think the choice is either stay in Cleveland or go to LA. If he only cares about his NBA Finals streak then stay in Cleveland and recruit Paul George. But isn't that kind of boring at this point?

LA makes the most sense. First, no one in their right mind would want to hang out in Cleveland versus LA. Second, LeBron has more opportunities to play mogul/movie star in LA (i.e. Magic and Kobe). Hell, Kobe won a freaking Oscar. Third, he already has a house there. Fourth, if he leaves Cleveland now there is no way they can really complain. He pretty much has a golden ticket to bail.

Frankly, any move he makes makes him look desperate and hurts his legacy. It doesn't change the fact that he's one of the greatest of all time, but to me, Jordan's, Kobe's, Duncan's, and Dirk's rings > any rings Lebron chases.

IN the 2017 off-season moves/FA thread I thought Philly or Boston.
Now I believe the only true options are Philly and Cleveland, and my guess is Cleveland.

LeBron does not go to fit in with some franchise like Houston or San Antonio. He is the franchise.
Too many variables to get him to LA including going through the Spurs, Houston, and the Warriors, just to get to Finals.

Lebron's not going to Philly.

I think somebody mentioned Philly having cap space to get him in a podcast in April and it took off from there. It is easily the most manufactured rumor that I can remember in sports.

Supposedly the teams he has expressed interest in are Houston, Lakers and Philly.

He and been Simmons are close

Philly is one of the few teams that makes sense on paper. I don't follow the rumors, but tons of young cheap talent in the east is what he should probably be looking for.

Teams in the west also don't have to go through his team each year to get to the Finals.
How can they be running from him if they still have to play him in the Finals? I'm not seeing your point.
Bunk Moreland

Getting to the finals is hard enough. Winning your conference means something. If you basically know whatever team some guy is on will always win the conference, your options are to join his team or go to the other conference.

And my point was about as serious as the
(nonsensical imo) claims that his consecutive finals appearances are somehow not as good due to doing it in the east. I just think that's petty as **** and as petty as stars are today, I could see a lot of them deciding they'd rather be in the conference opposite of him to increase their chances of making a finals.
Deputy Travis Junior

I see your point, but wow probably close to half of his playoff series victories have come against ~0.500 teams. I think that does detract somewhat from his streak.

Thinking on it, the only legitimately good East teams he's beaten were a couple of the good Celtics squads 7-8 years ago. Don't you think that matters?
Bunk Moreland
How long do you want to ignore this user?
Not really. Maybe at the beginning. I think the beginning of the run was when the west was stacked the most, but as time went on nobody really came over to the east or demanded trades to go east when they had a chance.

Maybe it has just been a decade of oddities but I can't help but think there's something there.

Also, as good as he is, I'm not certain he couldn't have done it in the west had he been on one of the consistently top 5 teams in that conference each year even against the stacked for field. I'd lean towards no but the dude is Insanely good.

Never thought L.A. was a serious threat to get him until the Kawhi news broke out. They'd be my pick for lebron if that happened, followed by Philly.

Lebron asks Durant to join him in LA. The most lebron thing to do since he wore an ace wrist brace to his losing press conference.
