The NBA probably sent off all those Houston Rockets Western Conference Champions merchandise to Africa already.

Gonna be epic when we take Kawhi from the Spurs this off-season

Absolutely gutted after this one. This was a winnable game. The refs were bad for a stretch, but the 27 straight three point misses were what killed us. I can't help but feel like if CP3 was healthy, we would've won one of these last two games.

Unfortunately, it might take winning the Lebron sweepstakes to win in this era. Hate it all you want, but that's the NBA right now.

Hard to blame the refs when you miss that many 3's and the other team seems to be making them with their ass hairs.

Once again since you're slow.. no it's not hard. They are part of the reason we were missing.
Tell me again how the refs are making us miss 3's?

I did on the last page. Go read.

And I'll spell it out anyway

Harden was fouled four times tonight shooting threes. No calls. Two of those led to fast break threes for GS.

Do I need to do math for you too, or do you think you can handle that?
Really dude? You're going to lean on 4 no calls and two fast breaks as your argument for why we set an NBA record for consecutive missed 3's.

Yes, dude.

Are you really going to argue that a defense that absolutely flattened a team that can't match our hustle and intensity all of the sudden just decided to play finesses? They were literally allowed to get away with screens where they shoved us to the side. That's another three ****ing points for you. Add on Gordon's mauling, there's another two. Plenty more than that.

I don't disagree with all the bs they were getting away with but we make just 50% of those wide open 3's and it's a different game. Regardless of the officiating you can't win with that kind of piss poor shooting.

And I'm not really trying to argue you can. I'm saying that what the referees did to us in the third quarter affected every facet of the game. It affected us both physically and mentally. We will never know what would have happened as fans. We were robbed two games in a row by an agenda.

Are you really that dense? The whole damn point is the Rockets would have had a good chance to win had the game been called fairly, DESPITE ALL THE MISSED SHOTS.

We only needed to shoot 25% from 3 to probably win this one.

I guess I don't understand basketball coaching and the overall game itself, but as a coach, if you see your team is 0-20+ shooting 3s and you know the other team turns it on in the 3rd quarter...how do you not adjust to that?! How do you not say, "listen, I know we live and die by the 3, but going into next half, we need to focus inside the paint, good possessions and getting 2 off of turnovers". But no. It's like Dantoni just said "do your thing and hopefully we'll win". Bull**** coaching for a bull**** game.

Hopefully they can. The Warriors will not lose anytime soon. They lost once and went out and got Durant to make sure that on any given night they would have a superstar ready to go if the other 3 were not up to par. Lebron has to see it to. I don't see him staying in Cleveland.

Agree on two points. Houston might of won if CP3 played and Rockets need Lebron to sniff a finals.

I agree with the dude you're quoting. Refs may have had some impact, but I have never seen a tram miss that many threes in a row. If the refs affected us so mentally that we missed 25 in a row, I want all of those weak minded people gone next year n

Their interior defense is too strong, and we weren't going to get a call. Your point makes sense for any other level of basketball. Unfortunately it's not realistic for this game.

Because we did. Our guys were driving a lot and getting annihilated. Hard to keep doing that if the other team is allowed to foul with no repercussion.

7-44. Discussion stops and ends there. I recall the early 2000's when the experts were saying that you can't jumpshoot your way to a title. I thought that was stupid, and it's been proven stupid. But a cold game 7...yeah, bad timing.

Because much better predictor of future success is large sample size, which says that they are much better shooters than that so you take the wide open 3

So is it more likely that LeBron joins CP3 in Houston, or CP3 joins LeBron in Cleveland. Think it's time that we upgrade the Ariza position and dump the Anderson contract, though that may be impossible now.

The Rockets got the trophy they were playing for all year: the MVP. They got everything else they could've hoped for too: lots of ticket sales, lots of TV money, and lots of attention.

This is probably as good as it gets for this team. Unkind offseason, and probably a hangover regular season. The problem is and always was Leslie Alexander. He never allowed them to tank when it was smart to do so. Criticize Morey all you want, but Ryan Anderson has his contract because Alexander demanded a 49 win team.

My buddy ran some numbers. Apparently the odds of us missing 26 straight threes was 8.1e-17.

Warriors are the luckiest team in in basketball history

I don't think CP3 would consider going to Cleveland. He saw the Warriors can be beat with the Rockets. When Paul play Houston leads 3-2. Without him 0-2.

People who think the NBA brass had an 'agenda' for telling the refs to make sure there is Cavs vs Warriors for a 4th straight year....come on. Actually probably Houston vs Cavs would have gotten higher national ratings. Something fresh and different. I'm skeptical there was any preference by NBA executives for GSW to win tonight.

Because your whole team was created around shooting 3's and layups. Deciding in Game 7 of the WCF against a historically stacked team that you are going to change strategy and trying for some post distribution would be insane.

"Do your thing and hopefully we'll win" brought the Rockets to Game 7 of the Western Conference Finals... I'd say it's a pretty sound strategy, but it's not bulletproof.

It was always going to be tough against the team, and the odds were definitely against us when Paul went out. We had to play perfect today, and the shots just didnt fall out way in the second half.

But this year was incredible. We got an MVP after over 20 years. We took one of the best teams ever to 7 games, and snapped their playoff home winning streak.

I look forward to the moves Morey makes, maybe well end up with a number 23 next year. Until then, I'll smoke a cigar tonight to celebrate one of my favorite rockets teams.

F*** kd. Red nation for life.

Last 6 games of the series, Harden was 14-71 on 3's. That is 19.7%.

He improved it with Paul out in games 6 and 7 to 6-25 on 3's at 24.0%
