It's just one game, but interestingly Murray had the highest plus minus with a +11 and Mills had the worst at -7. Of course Mills played twice as many minutes and crunch time. I do think adding Murray's size can help a little on defense in spurts, if he can work on his turnovers.

I also thought the Green, Leonard, Simmons lineup was interesting and likely one we will see a bit more of.

I liked that lineup, too. Simmons made some big plays tonight.

He had the highest +/-, but he was getting killed by Beverly

Game thoughts in no particular order because I haven't read the thread:
1. Awesome defensive gameplan and great control of pace the first game after losing a 14 year starter at pg. Everyone talking about how Pop isn't a premier coach should go ahead and stfu forever.

2. Murray confirms in emphatic terms that he's not ready for the playoffs. He could barely string two dribbles together.

3. LaMarcus finally put on his big boy pants! Great game. We need two more of those.

4. Defensive rebounding sucked early, but they got it together.

5. Big shots from Patty Mills and Danny Green tonight. Also, there is exactly one player in the league that Green can drive on. Good thing #13 for the Rockets is a clown.

6. Hearing the MVP chant for Kawhi down the stretch in Houston... pretty great.

7. If it weren't for total bull**** calls, the bench would have played the last 3 minutes of a 20 point win. We basically didn't defend Harden when he drove. Astounding discipline most of the game on jump shots. Also, LOU ****ING WILLIAMS yelled at a ref because he got called for the reach trying to fight through a screen. Ok, yeah, I don't like the play either but that's like 12 ppg for the Rockets. Literal laugh out loud moment.

8. The Rockets are still taking moronic shots expecting to get bailed out. Looks pretty stupid with clean air around the shooter.

9. If the Rockets figure out that the Spurs are giving them the lane and decide to go strong instead of flopping against flat footed 7 footers maintaining verticality, we'll get blown out in game 4. Hopefully Pringles is still really dumb, the Rockets are still mentally weak, and Harden keeps settling for bad threes.

Kawhi, Simmons, and Green/Manu (or both if we go small) is our best defensive lineup because they can switch everything. May not be the best offensive group we can put out there, but they really cause the rockets problems. That group did a really good job of fighting over the harden pick and rolls and when he kicked it out, running shooters off the 3 point line and forcing midrange jumpers and tough runners over the bigs.

Agree. That lineup can close without overrunning and has the speed and desire to scramble. Nice game for Simmons.

Could the slow bigs lineup work on gs?

We didn't have the horses to run with Golden State BEFORE Parker went out. If we make it that far, we've got to at least try playing our strength.
