Well I can't watch anymore tonight. Just regroup and play actual Spurs basketball on Wednesday.

That's what it looked like to me, too. I thought Bev was getting T'ed for running towards the FT shooter while talking *****Ulrich said:Guitarsoup said:

He must have said something, but it's odd that the tech didn't come until after Dedmon had turned away and Beverly went running up to the ref with his hands out. Very strange.

The Spurs dont have a true 2nd scorer that they can consistently rely on and I don't know how that changes overnight. LMA was supposed to be that guy, but he just can't be counted on and has shown that for two seasons now. Without that second scorer then you can't play Green as solely a defensive specialist at the 2. Add in an aging by the day Tony Parker and an undersized, streaky Mills and you have no consistency at PG either. Obviously we have no idea who our 5 should be as Dedmon, Gasol and Lee all have gotten some time there.
I said it during the regular season and was ripped a bit you honestly should blow the whole team up this offseason if we don't at least make the WCF (and that looks like a real long shot). I would be fine trading/not resigning anyone not named Kawhi. Hopefully we turn over at least half the roster to include 2 or 3 starters.
This team isn't close. The regular season was fool's gold. As painful as this is, it's better in the long run to be shown you aren't close so you can be willing make major changes.
If nothing else, please get rid of LMA.

LMA can't figure it out. Kawhi is at his best on the receiving end of the beautiful game (open threes) or in ISO.
Parker is too old to be consistently effective in running the offense.
With the WGAS sentiment Pop's shown the last two playoffs, this feels more like it's destined to end in a Laker series style routing than a comeback at this point.Ag Natural said:
I'm working on an in depth analysis of that game. Here it is.
Spurs were absolutely garbage. I guess they were so worried about the Rockets offense that they forgot to practice their own. Rox shot the lights out but they were aided greatly by the Spurs utter failure. Zero execution and even worse shooting. It allowed the Rox to get out and run and felt no pressure the entire game. It looked like a junior high game where the front running team plays loose and keeps hitting shots.
The only good news is this has happened to the Spurs before and they've recovered. However, it usually comes back to bite you when you give up a game zero effort like this. Even if they can come back and compete it will be a close series and you didn't even make them sweat in game one.

They could have gone after someone else that offseason besides Aldridge. Everyone knew they'd have to ditch it for LA.

Meanwhile, Kerr takes that offense to Golden State and has two Finals and one title in two tries, and is well on their way to another Finals trip this year.
Pop shut down giving a F after 2014, it's been pretty clear in his who cares attitude about the playoff losses since then.

Ref actually signaled the T on Beverly. No idea why he changed it after Beverly pled his case.
Can the refs do us a solid and eject Pop for Wednesday's game? Aldridge too.

I know the media likes to suck Pop off, but he's really been trash for a few years now. Hell, his stupidity cost us the first Finals with the Heat. We were just lucky that Duncan and that team was pissed off enough to overcome that series and bring us back to the promise-land.
I was pissed when Pop got rid of Bob Hill and I gave Pop hell for years at the games. Once we started winning, thanks to a great FO, I stopped my crap. With that said, he's an overrated, arrogant *******. Maybe you can credit him with some of the FO moves, and I am thankful for that, but he's not all that coach wise. Also, you have to remember he was forced to trade George for Kawhi, so no telling what he's really responsible for player wise. He's not really lying when he said Duncan basically coached and held this team together.
Now, I am ready for the hate. Let me have it.

And Bob Hill proved he was one of the worst coaches that ever coached.
Hill went to Fordham and had a 31% winning percentage culminating in a 2-33 season.
Bob Hill was absolute trash and was the reason that the Spurs were destroyed in 95.
Since then, Hill only gets jobs when teams want to tank. That's literally the only HC gigs he has gotten.

With Robinson, Duncan, Parker, Manu, Kawhi, etc. -- there is no telling what Bob might have done. Duncan was a given, nobody was passing him up. If Parker and Ginobili had influence from Pop, cool -- but if Buford was the main guy -- no telling what any other coach might have done.
After five rings, it's hard to complain. I just don't think Pop deserves all the credit he gets. He also doesn't get much blame and he sure as hell should.

Were you watching? They were trapping Kawhi in the pick and roll and nobody was hitting shots. With TP they just sagged into the lane. Nobody else has any prayer of running it effectively. You are better off trying to post up but none of the bigs could score over that beast Anderson.
