This sucks. Blow it up and tank. Max Dirk out for a couple years...or trade him at the deadline to a contender for draft picks.
I've tuned out the past three or so seasons precisely because the Mavericks were decent. But I knew it would amount to nothing. Nothing at all. And it hasn't. I love Dirk and hope he goes somewhere he's comfortable.

I agree something has to change, but that amount of money to Conley is just ridiculous. Almost glad we didn't get him if that's what it cost

If GS doesn't match, I like Harrison Barnes at the max WAY more than Ryan Anderson at 20.
Welp, at least we probably won't have to worry about Barnes turning into a ghost come playoff time.

By no stretch is Nowitzki satisfied with being on the couch by May on an annual basis, but he's so loyal that it would still be considered an absolute stunner if he left the only NBA home he's ever known to chase a championship in the twilight of his career. Never mind that many Mavs fans would actually prefer to see Nowitzki go to Golden State or Oklahoma City, letting Dirk perform on the game's biggest stages again as a historically efficient geezer and letting the Mavs begin a full-fledged rebuilding project.
Being stuck in the NBA middle isn't much fun.

Going to be interesting to see if Dirk really was serious about not wanting to be apart of a total rebuild, but the Mavs are officially in total rebuild mode regardless at this point.

At this point if dirk stays he has to realize we can get a top 3 pick next year. Hopefully he's down to act hurt for most of the year.
