2016 NBA playoffs in the Western Conference... Tune in the 4th quarter for a lot of guys you won't recognize.

If Tony can have a stretch like that every game where he just takes over the offense for a couple minutes, the Spurs are going to be in good shape.
I think he can. He looks good out there right now.

Let's go ahead and put the hammer down this 3rd quarter, SA.

They seemed to hear you.

Indeed. Me likey.

Apparently the grizzlies strategy for covering Diaw is to grab him around the waist and hope for no call.

Boban the giant is in!

I made my kids watch him just now and told them he's a real giant. After showing them his facial features and gait they all believed me. They're in elementary school though.

After a full season of Boban his teammates are still in awe watching him do Boban things,

The shot of the team laughing at the Boban dunk because he was a whole inch off the ground was hilarious.

The best part of this game was watching TD, TP and Manu getting it done together in the 3rd quarter.

Honest Question:

Would you trade any of the Grizzly Starters for anyone on the Spurs 2nd Team?

I honestly think to a man, I would pick the Spurs.

West over Birman
Diaw over Randolph
Ginoboli or Anderson over Barnes
Martin or Ginoboli over Carter
Mills over Farmar

These guys are seriously out gunned. I don't know if I have ever seen this much of a talent variance in a playoff series.

Yeah, I think this series will lay out just like this game did. The Grizzlies may keep it close early but will run out of gas in the second half. I predict the 3rd qtr will b big for the Spurs every night.

I'm looking for a list of playoff wins by a player, I went to Basketball Reference but they only list total games played and I am trying to find out how many playoff games have been won by the Bog Three.

Anyone know a source that is up to date?

This says 120, prior to the game today, so the total is 121 now.

1. Magic
2. Stockton
3. Kidd
4. LeBron
5. Parker
6. Bird
7. Nash
8. Pippen
9. Kobe
10. Jordan

Spurs playoff records watch:

Duncan passes Horry for games played in this series. Only Derek Fisher will have more Playoff games.

Parker has played 204 games for 8th. If he plays 17 games+, he moves to 5th past Kobe.

Manu is 12th at 188 games. He only needs 5 to move past Magic, Karl Malone and Danny Ainge for 9th.

Duncan is already 1st all time in playoff minutes by over 300 points. Parker needs 243 minutes to pass Michael Jordan for 11th in playoff points. Manu needs 78 minutes to pass Clyde Drexler for 30th in playoff minutes.

Manu needs 20 threes to pass Ray Allen for 2nd in most threes in the playoffs.

Duncan is 3rd in playoff rebounds with over 2800 boards. He needs 1100 to catch up to Wilt and 1300 to catch up to Russell. Good luck, Timmay!

Manu needs 16 steals to pass Derek Fisher, Robert Horry and Clyde Drexler and become top 10 in playoff steals. Kawhi is 93rd in steals. If he has a similar playoffs to the two Finals runs, he will be top 50.

Tim Duncan has 81 more blocks than anyone in NBA history in the playoffs. The closest active player is Dwight Howard with 334 less blocks than Tim Duncan.

Duncan needs 130 points to pass Shaq for 5th all time. Parker needs 101 points to pass Bird for 9th. 250 points would push Manu past DrJ for 22nd all time.

I've read this four times now and I'm still not getting it. The two seem incongruent, unless you're talking about different stats. Yet, Duncan is 14th in career points, so your second stat is not referencing that I think... Anyway, you're going to explain it in a way that clearly makes me dumb, and I think the reason for that is likely because I'm dumb. Anyway, plzhelpmeunderstand.

I wrote "points" instead of 'minutes' in the first one.

Playoff stats, not career stats.

I posted this already on the regular season thread, but meant to post it on here, and since I'm in a bragging mood I will post again.

If you went to the game last night and saw the halftime show, after the Chinese unicyclist and bowl acrobat, who was the star of the night, they played a knockout game with 5 adults and 5 kids. My older son won, despite having a cast on his shooting hand! Younger son, who was the youngest competitor, finished fifth. For winning, my son got an official NBA Spurs basketball signed by Ice. Pretty awesome night.

Spurs D was awesome. I thought the tone was set early by Kawhi almost getting two steals from Barnes, then stealing it and getting a runout, all in the same possession.
