Never have been a fan of Kobe, but he was great for the game and the NBA. To say he is the best player ever is a huge stretch. Was awesome to see him go out like he did last night.

I'd take Timmy D on my team 10 times out of 10 over Kobe.

If he wasn't so selfish, perhaps he would be in the playoffs next week...

Not a big fan of Kobe, but that was quite a spectacular (and very Kobe-ish) way to go out and very fun to watch. More importantly, congrats to the Lakers for their 17th win of the season. For perspective, the Warriors had their 17th win the day after Thanksgiving.

I know most people like to be acknowledged when they retire, but I can't help but think the first game after Timmy retires the Spurs starting lineup will read something like this:

Because the Spurs and Lakers had a pretty substantial rivalry for a decade when Kobe and Timmy were in their primes. You talk about the early 2000 Lakers...you talk about the Spurs. And vice versa.

Did I say that? The Chinese being really interested in Kobe's last game is an effect of a country falling in love with the NBA. Kobe is not the cause.
