Jonas Valanciunas tested positive before Suns game (scheduled for TNT).*
They play the nationally televised game vs Suns, but then the NBA has shut them down for the next 4 games.
I find that odd. Why allow the one game, but not any of next 4 when nobody new has (been announced to) tested positive?

The nba has been pretty haphazard with which games they postpone vs play on. The wizards have been postponed for eternity while the Mavs will play their 7th game in a row without 3 starters. Now this with the grizz. Makes no sense.

With the Portland Trail Blazers improvement to avoid the play-in tournament, the Grizzlies have the longest streak for play-in tournament/games at 2 years.
Could definitely see a 3-5 year run for play-in bids with this franchise.

Wow. I can't believe NOLA unloaded Adams AND Bledsoe in one transaction. Good picks for Memphis and while Val has been great for them, I really don't think he was on their timeline anyways. They must really like someone in the top 10 this year. Any thoughts on who Iowa?

People loved JV, and honestly hated Steven Adams (Zach Randolph phantom punch recipient that caused him to miss game 7 in 2014 semi-finals).
Complete guess is Josh Giddy or Moses Moody is who they want on the JJJ and Ja timelines.
I'm also guessing the Pelicans are trying to lure Kyle Lowry there, needed the space, and wanted Lowry's old friend JV to be there.
I'm not sure if they are going to buyout either of them. Adam's contract went from horrible to just bad this upcoming year. Also, Taylor Jenkins coached Bledsoe in Milwaukee.

I like Giddey a lot, but why would y'all want to take on a primary ball handler when you've got Ja? I'd think the plan would be to surround him with some more shooting.
Whenever I see those types of rumors, I just assume that the team at #8 or #9 is trying to get someone to make a trade with them or there is someother player that a team at #11 or #12 really likes and they hope that other guy will be there.

KOC is reporting that the Grizzlies are trying to move further up the draft with their sights on Bouknight or Kuminga.
Also being reported that the 2022 Laker's 1st is Top 10 protected and will turn into two 2nd rounders if not conveyed. But I don't think there's anyway it won't be conveyed.

I always have might doubts on draft reports and I think a lot is information warfare that is dropped to increase some deal in place or to help a guy fall to another team.
I buy very little of it. I think they will want Moody (but he might not be there at 10).
It should be noted that this is the second time I've written this. I wrote something similar on a Grizz message board regarding a rumor that the Grizzlies were going to take Bledsoe to move up from 17 to 10, so what do I know.

The Grizzlies, with an already packed roster, are open-minded on the futures of all three players in Memphis -- and will likely consider trades with some of those arriving in this deal. Memphis gets salary cap flexibility in the summer of 2022 with trade.
